What is a Makerspace?
The NRPL has two Makerspaces available to the public.
- The Build Guild has advanced machinery for DIY projects such as a 3D printer and Glowforge laser cutter/engraver. (See our full list of machinery below!)

Studio 2400 has musical instruments and recording equipment for bands, editing & podcasts, and digital preservation machines.
- Appointments to use our makerspaces are required and must be done at least 24 hours in advance. Appointments are limited.

What is the Build Guild?
The Build Guild has advanced machinery such as a Prusa 3D printer, Glowforge Laser printer and a Cricut Maker 3 machine.

When is the Build Guild open?
The Build Guild is open by appointment Monday through Thursday from 11 am to 5 pm, Friday from 11 am to 4 pm, and select Saturdays! Please contact us at reference@nrpl.info for more information.
Is there a fee to use the Build Guild?
All machines have a $1.00 usage fee! The library does offer materials to use in your projects at a low cost. Outside materials may be brought in for use but must be approved by library staff. Otherwise, materials may be purchased from the library directly. A full list of pricing is available within the Build Guild.
Are there any restrictions?
Children under 10 years of age are not permitted in the Build Guild. Children between the ages of 10 to 13 years of age can utilize the equipment with a certified adult and adult signed waiver form. Children 14 to 17 can utilize the space independently with a waiver signed by a parent or guardian.
